Course Objectives
Isometric projection is a technique for representing a 3D object from multiple perspectives, typically including front, side, and top views, allowing viewers to visualise the object from all angles. Orthographic drawings are particularly useful when a design is nearly ready for manufacturing. In this module, students will learn about different types of geometric planes and their applications. They will gain an understanding of orthographic projections, including their types, elements, and principles. The course will train students to effectively present 3D visuals on 2D surfaces.
Desired outcome of the course This module will enable students to grasp the concepts of 2D and 3D projection. They will learn to create isometric projections of various objects and explore different types of planes and their relevance in both professional and everyday contexts. Additionally, students will gain an understanding of focal length, optics, and projections, and how these concepts relate to 2D objects.
