Course Content
- Study of tools like Unity, Maya, 3DS MAX, AR toolkit, Vuforia and Blender. Install and configure game design tools such as Unity, Blender, or Godot. Explore interfaces and basic navigation.
- Designing a Basic Game UI in Unity: Create a main menu and HUD (health bar, score display). Script UI interactions.
- Implementing AI in Unity: Create simple AI for NPCs (patrolling, detecting players). Script NPC behaviors and interactions.
- Import and implement sound effects and background music. Script sound triggers based on game events.
- Basic 3D Modeling in Blender: Create simple 3D objects like a cube, sphere, and cylinder. Apply transformations and export models.
- Creating a Simple Game Environment in Unity: Set up terrain, lighting, and skybox in Unity. Import 3D models and arrange them in the environment.
- Designing a 2D Game in Godot or Pygame: Design and prototype a simple 2D game including character design, storytelling, and levels.
- Physics and Interactions in Unity: Add Rigid body and Colliders to objects. Implement basic interactions like jumping and collisions.
- Integrating Animations in Unity: Import and apply animations to characters in Unity. Control animations using the Animator Controller.
- Design and implement a simple 3D game including character design, storytelling, and levels using Unity or Blender. Note: The instructor may add/delete/modify/tune experiments, wherever he/she feels in a justified manner
