Course Objectives
- This module extends mural practice into fresco methods of wall painting.
- It builds understanding of Fresco-Buono, Fresco-Secco and mosaic techniques.
- It develops competence in glazing, distemper and plastering.
- It introduces preservation techniques for mural and fresco work.
Course Outcomes
- Explain the method and material used in mural practice, including studio safety and clean-up.
- Apply fresco techniques (Fresco-Buono, Fresco-Secco, mosaic) to wall painting.
- Apply glazing, distemper and plastering techniques in mural work.
- Create a fresco wall painting applying appropriate preservation techniques.
