Course Objectives
The objective of this course is to bestow upon the students a comprehensive understanding of particle size analysis, size reduction techniques, as well as the separation of solid particles from fluids and the intricate dynamics of flow through porous media.
COURSE OUTCOME: On completion of this course, the students will be able to
- Demonstrate knowledge of size reduction and size enlargement, and examine their performance using applicable legal principles.
- Analyze and implement the principles of particle size analysis, screening apparatus types, and sedimentation and elutriation techniques.
- Explain the concept of Particle Separation and various Particle Separation Approaches
- Analysis, fluidization, and filtration, and demonstrate the concept of their respective applications.
- Demonstrate knowledge of agitation, and mixing, in addition to the storage and conveying of solids.
